Food Fails

Have any food fails recently? Love to hear about them (really!). :)

Cooking and baking are a continuous experiment as far as I'm concerned. I've learned that every time I move that I have to adjust for that particular oven and again for that particular environment (dry or humid environments make a huge impact)!

I tried making an Italian sea bass soup based on a tv show...should have MAYBE got all the ingredients and portion sizes right. It was NASTY. My poor husband had to bear through it, and sea bass ain't CHEAP!

I'm sticking with coffee :)

My husband has been making fun of my interesting meals trying to empty out the fridge. I won't claim they've all been great culinary treats. :p
I have really hated the oven we've had for the past 2.5 months. It cooks WAY fast and it's WAY hot. Lots of burnt cookies in the beginning! Now that I'm finally comfortable cooking with it, we're leaving of course. lol
